The ethics sort
Situations an HR or sales team might face abroad. Decide where each one belongs — a scenario can be both legally and ethically risky. Your choices stay on this device.
Your group
- Classify every scenario. A scenario can sit in both legally and ethically risky.
- For three of the harder scenarios, write the exact extra facts you'd need before deciding.
- Be ready to say where your group disagreed and why.
- Clearly OK — routine and lawful, no real ethical worry.
- Legally risky — may breach the law: bribery, dismissal, discrimination.
- Ethically risky — it compromises fairness, voice, or dignity (lawful or not).
- Needs more facts — you can't decide without one specific piece of information.
Legally risky and ethically risky can both apply — pick both when they do. Clearly OK and Needs more facts stand alone.
